Everything about paying is in Settings → Plan & billing.
  • Owners and admins can see it and pay. Members can’t.
  • You always pay in US dollars.
  • Card payments go through our payment partner, Paddle.

How billing works

  • Pro’s monthly fee is paid in advance, before the month it covers.
  • AI use is paid in credits. Your free credits and the credits you bought are used first. After that, AI use costs $0.01 a credit. Your card is charged for it once a month, in one payment, with a receipt. If your plan is paid by invoice instead, it goes on the same monthly invoice.
  • You can pay for your AI use early, at any time.
  • There’s a limit on how much AI use you can owe. When you reach it, your assistant pauses until you pay. See Limit on unpaid AI use.
The page also shows where you stand:
  • Credits left shows how many credits you have, how many you bought and how many free ones are left.
  • Next charge so far shows what your next card payment comes to so far: Pro’s fee if you’re on Pro, plus your AI use. You see it once a card is on file.

Buy credits

1

Open Plan & billing

2

Choose a pack

Press Buy credits and choose 1,000 credits ($10), 2,500 ($25) or 5,000 ($50).
3

Pay by card

Pay once by card. The credits are added as soon as the payment is confirmed, usually within a minute.
Credits you buy never expire. Your receipt comes by email, and it’s also listed under Invoices.

Paying by card

With a card on file, your assistant keeps answering after your credits run out.
  • Adding a card charges nothing that day.
  • Your credits are used first. After that, AI use costs $0.01 a credit. A reply uses about 1.5 credits. Pay as you go has no monthly fee.
  • Your card is charged once a month for what the AI used, with a receipt. If a month comes to less than $0.70, it’s added to the next month instead.
  • You can remove the card any time. Your assistant then stops when your credits run out.

Open Plan & billing

2

Add your card

Press Add a card. Or press Upgrade to Pro to add a card and start Pro at the same time.
3

Confirm

Enter your card in the secure payment page. Back in Baza, your card is ready as soon as Paddle confirms it, usually within a minute.
When you upgrade to Pro, you pay the first month’s fee straight away. If you already pay by card, you only pay the difference for the rest of the month.

Change or remove your card

  • To change cards, press Update card.
  • If a payment fails, you see Your last payment didn’t go through. We try your card again. Update your card to keep your assistant answering.
  • To remove your card, press Remove card. If you owe more than $0.70 for AI use, your card is charged for it first. Once the receipt arrives, you can remove the card. If you have an unpaid invoice, you need to pay it first too.

When a plan ends

Cancelling Pro

Press Cancel Pro in Settings → Plan & billing. Then:
  • Pro stays on until the end of the month you paid for.
  • After that, you move to Pay as you go: no monthly fee, and the Pro features switch off.
  • On that day, your card is charged for the AI use since your last payment.
Your card stays on file, so your assistant keeps answering. To stop it completely, remove the card after that. Changed your mind before the switch? Press Keep Pro and it renews as usual.

A plan paid by invoice

When it ends, you move to Pay as you go, with no way to pay set up. Your assistant keeps answering while you have credits left. Then it stops until you buy credits or add a card. Whichever plan ends, these keep working: the assistants you already made, the channels you already connected and the chat page address you already chose.

Limit on unpaid AI use

This limit caps how much AI use you can owe before you pay. Once you pay by card or by invoice, Limit on unpaid AI use shows what you owe so far, next to your limit.
  • It counts all the AI use you haven’t paid for yet, whether or not it’s on an invoice.
  • Your card is charged once a month. It’s charged earlier only when you get close to the limit, so your assistant keeps answering.
  • If your card is declined at the limit, your assistant pauses until the payment goes through.
  • The limit grows as your paid bills grow. It’s $50, or twice your largest paid bill, whichever is more.
  • If you pay early, the count starts again from zero.
To pay early, press the Pay … now button under the limit. The button shows the amount. It appears once you owe more than $0.70. If your assistant paused at the limit, it starts answering again as soon as the payment goes through.

Monthly spending limit

This is the most your AI use can cost in one month. At the limit your assistant stops, so nobody can run up your bill.
  • It only counts AI use charged to your card this calendar month. It doesn’t count your credits or Pro’s monthly fee.
  • We email you when you reach 80% of it.
  • At the limit, your assistant stops answering and you can’t reply from the inbox. Nothing more is charged.
  • Raise the limit and your assistant answers again straight away. If you don’t, it starts again on the 1st of next month.
  • It protects you if someone floods your chat with messages to run up your bill. If your replies jump far above usual, we also email you, so you can pause your assistant from its page.
  • You can choose anything from $5 to $10,000. It starts at $50.
To change it:
  1. Go to Settings → Plan & billing.
  2. Enter a new Monthly limit.
  3. Press Save limit.
